FixedQR

Your printed QR code shouldn't have an expiration date.

Many "free" generators hand out codes that die when a trial ends. These don't, because there's nothing in the middle to switch off.

Test it: scan the preview with your phone camera before you print.

How it works / view source

How to check any QR code before you print

  1. Scan it and read the first address. If it opens the generator's domain (a short link) rather than yours, it's a dynamic code that someone else controls.
  2. Find the trial terms. Look for what happens to codes when a trial or subscription ends. "Deactivated" means your print run can die.
  3. Check cancellation. Ask whether codes keep working if you stop paying. If not, you're renting them.
  4. Prefer your own domain. A static code to a page on your site can be "edited" by changing that page, with no middleman.

FAQ

Will it ever stop working?

Not because of us. The code is your link written as a pattern. It works as long as the link it contains works.

Can I edit it later?

Not the code itself. Tip: point it at a page on your own site, then change that page whenever you like.

Do you track scans?

No. Scans go straight from the phone to your link; we're never in the path. The site itself uses no analytics or tracking cookies.
